When I saw this available in English I was really glad & snatched it right up. What surprised me was that it seemed to loose some of its poetic & emotional impact through translation. But don't let that detour you from adding this to your collection if your a fan of the genre. This movie has all the elements of a heroic saga of the period, so much so I wonder if it was an adaptation of a folk tale from the period. With the hero far from being a squeaky clean paladin type character there is an edgy theme of realistic disillusionment to this surrealistic tale. The story is complex enough to have supported another half hour of back story. But without the filler it makes this a fast paced adventure that's well worth the watch. If your a fan of the genre you will be happy to add this unique story to your collection.
