I ordered this knife from Amazon japan so it took a few days to be delivered as expected but it arrived ahead of schedule so good surprise. The knife is everything I expected and seems sturdy. It is carbon steel as described in the description so do not expect a pretty shiny knife here but it came delivered in a very nice box and oiled to prevent any rust. The knife out of the box is very sharp, I can't speak of retaining this sharp edge yet but I like the length and the weight. Certainly a good addition to my kitchen tools and the first "proper" knife actually from Japan. This is a keeper!
