Despite being a rugged design, approximately 2500 were lost to combat and accidents in Vietnam, and 2202 pilots were killed. The larger scale allows enormous amounts of detail to be packed into this model of a UH-1D, an upgraded, stretched fuselage version introduced in 1963.
