If the characters had more development--such as a trace of personality and background--or if the movie had been shortened to 45 minutes--instead of trudging through the woods to symphonic music--I might have given it a higher rating. But for a small budget (I hope it was a small budget) creature feature it was not an embarrassment. One line suggests that the dragon materialized after fracking on the other side of the mountain (thank you Obama). But who supplied and cared for the cult of vagrants, why did the park rangers not get involved earlier, how did the soldiers of fortune nourish themselves, why did the dragon look like ones from other movies instead of like Puff the Magic Dragon, and has this set itself up for serialization?
