LEGO Ninjago Jay's Elemental Dragon 70602 Building Kit (350 Pieces) - Creative Construction Toy for Kids, Collectible Ninja Dragon Set for Play & Display

Generally I don't write many Lego reviews because I love them all. This one, I looked forward to, but was sadly let down.THE GOODJay looks awesome. He has a great outfit, and the coloring is all the way cool. The side ways sword sheath is pretty great looking too. I also find the Cyren minifig quite well detailed. She fits the part of a sky pirate. You do also get some neat parts for collectors. I didn't like the stupid monkey.THE BADPretty much the rest of it. The little Sky Pirate ship is forgettable. In fact, I can't even describe it. The dragon is worse. The head piece has very limited movement, and the mouth is not a "snapping jaw" as described. Whatever.I found the wings, while looking very cool, have a major problem with the missile launcher. The best place to hold the dragon is behind the wings by the rear leg. Unfortunately, as you do so, you get shot in the face, or shot in the nuts, or shoot the cat on the back of the recliner as you do so. It's not fun. Plus, they don't really move much.Overall, if you want a cool dragon in the same price range, go with Zanes Titanium Dragon. As it stands, first let down of Legos in my life. It sucked giving the review, but if you buy it for a gift, or as an AFOL, you'll get it.Got this set for my Grandson he is usually ahead of the curve at 7 - this set has a lot of cool stuff however very complicated to put together even the adults helping him (including me) found it complicated - recommended more for the latter side of the age curve like around 10-11Highly recommended. It's expensive but very attractive.Thank you for getting this product to me a day earlier than expected! It was purchased as a birthday gift for my son and we were going to give it at his party but now we are able to give it to him on his actual birthday!The Ninjago series have proven to be my boys' favorite Lego sets of all time, even surpassing Star Wars and Minecraft. They love the Ninjago story, the TV series, the books, and the sets. They also love the Spinjitzu game and battle arena. Every set is a winner and they are absolutely thrilled with it.This a great set for a young Ninjago fan. My 8 year old grandson had no problem following the directions and showing us his amazing creation after hours of hard, but quiet work. Nice activity that involves reasoning, dexterity, and no screen time.Lotsa' fun for the kids, however a bazillion piece parts to assemble may well be beyond many children (and their parents!).Comparable price !! Couldn't drive to get store so just placed an order and my son was super excited to build them !Just perfect for my 6 years old! He loved it! Now all the pieces are mix; he create a new creature each time!okPositive experience would buy againUsual goodPrefect. Came a day early.
